Lifting poetry off the page

There is great potential for poetry to be used to build empathy and bridge gaps of understanding between people from differing backgrounds. In this talk, I am presenting three poems on immigration, discrimination and being a refugee by Carol Ann Duffy, Benjamin Zephaniah and Nicola Davies. I will also present activities that will help raise awareness of these social issues.
