Embracing Diversity through Pedagogical Documentation in the Early Years
Teachers often focus on stages and ages to ensure that their practice is developmentally appropriate. However, these stages represent universal features that are applicable to all children and ignore the widespread diversity. Consequently, children get assessed against simplistic levels of learning. In this talk, we’ll explore how pedagogical documentation can be used as an alternative evaluation strategy and reflect diversity.
